Like Amazon’s Alexa, Jarvis can be activated by voice (or by text) and connect with various objects in the home. “I’m sorry Mark, I’m afraid I can’t do that,” Jarvis responds with Freeman’s iconic voice. In the future, Zuckerberg hopes to build an Android app for Jarvis and connect it to more appliances and rooms in his home. An actual demo provided to Fast Company proved to have a few more glitches when turning off lights and playing music. Zuckerberg made it his New Year’s resolution to “build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work.” The project proved more challenging than he expected. “Play us some good Nickleback songs,” Zuckerberg asks in the video. In October, Zuckerberg asked his followers for suggestions to be the voice for Jarvis, his AI tool inspired by Iron Man. “As the CEO of Facebook, I don’t get much time to write code in our internal environment. In total, he spent about 100 hours building Jarvis — while running Facebook. Freeman was a top pick. Robert Downey Jr. He struggled to find appliances whose power could be controlled remotely by an app and had to figure out the nuances of language used to request songs. “There are no good Nickleback songs.”
AI burn. I’ve never stopped coding, but these days I mostly build personal projects like Jarvis,” Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post this week. When Mark Zuckerberg wants an artificial intelligence-driven assistant, he recruits the “Voice of God.”
The Facebook CEO and cofounder posted a video teasing an artificial intelligence application on Tuesday that he built for his home, voiced by none other than actor Morgan Freeman. “My goal was to learn about the state of artificial intelligence,” Zuckerberg wrote in the post, “where we’re further along than people realize and where we’re still a long ways off.”

“We addressed the teacher and kind of clarified exactly what happened, and in this case provided what we thought was the appropriate consequence, which was clarification that that was inappropriate,” school superintendent Michael Sheppard told KTLA sister station WJW in Cleveland. "Tony can send 5 texts and 3 nudes in 19 minutes. “You have to look to see if it is out of character or not, and in this case, it was something that happened that was just obviously not acceptable from the school district’s perspective and that’s why we took it, looked at it very seriously and provided the appropriate consequence,” said the superintendent. Berlin Christmas Market Attacker Could Be at Large, Authorities Admit

One German intelligence official told CNN that security services were concerned that the attacker was still at large and dangerous. Intelligence and police sources earlier told CNN that the man detained had arrived to the country in Passau, a city on Germany’s border with Austria, after traveling through the Balkans. “People just started running and dropping their gluhwein.”
She said that the it looked as if the driver had just mounted the curb and lost control, and that the whole thing probably lasted a mere 10 seconds. The minister called for Christmas markets to be closed for a day of mourning. German authorities are investigating the incident as a terror attack. But a backlash has been growing, fueled in part by Islamist terror attacks in Germany and across the continent. We do not know if there was support give to the perpetrator.”
Asked whether the driver might still be at large, President of the Federal Criminal Office Holger Münch at the same conference said only that authorities had one man in custody and that they were “looking in all directions” for any other suspects. Before Monday’s attack, both the US and UK governments had warned their citizens of potential security threats in Germany. (Credit: TOBIAS SCHWARZ/AFP/Getty Images)
Berlin Police President Klaus Kandt said that officials could not be certain that the detainee, who was picked up about a mile away from where 12 people were killed and 48 others injured on Monday evening, was responsible for the attack. American Shandana Durrani was at the market, at the foot of the Keiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, and had stopped to reply to a text message when the truck rammed into the crowd at around 8 pm. was given protection and asylum in Germany,” Merkel said. He also said a weapon believed to have been used in the attack had not yet been found. Merkel: ‘Hard to bear’
German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the scene of the attack on Tuesday afternoon, saying earlier it would be “especially disgusting” if anyone in the attack had been given asylum. “I know that it would be especially hard to bear for us if it was to be confirmed that a person (who) committed this act … A truck is made ready to be towed away on December 20, 2016 at the scene where the truck crashed into a Christmas market near the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedaechtniskirche (Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church) in Berlin. ‘It felt like slow motion’
At Breitscheidplatz on Monday evening it was a quintessential German Christmas scene: Trees strung with lights, vendors serving candied fruit and waffles, the smell of gluhwein — German mulled wine — wafting through the cold December air. De Maiziere said he had denied any involvement in the incident. “It probably didn’t last very long, but it felt like it was in slow motion (as I ) tried to get away from it.”
Security concerns
The attack bears resemblance to one in Nice, France, in July, when a truck rammed into a crowd gathered to see Bastille Day fireworks, killing 86 and injuring more than 200 people. Berlin police corroborated the information, saying the man found dead was a Polish citizen and was not at the wheel during the incident. Latest developments

A man detained by police after a large truck was rammed into a Berlin Christmas market may not have been the driver, German authorities said, leading to fears that the attacker could still be at large. She was lucky to have stopped, she said, as the truck mounted the curb, mowing people and stalls down just 20 feet in front of her, sending the crowd “running, scurrying, screaming.”
“I heard some popping and thought maybe there was a guy with a gun,” she told CNN. De Maiziere said that the man found in the truck appeared to have been shot dead, but that authorities had not found the weapon used. “We do not know if there was one perpetrator or several perpetrators yet. “We possibly need to assume that we have not arrested the right one,” General Prosecutor at Germany’s Federal Court of Justice Peter Frank told journalists Tuesday. But no one has so far claimed responsibility for Monday’s attack. Moments before Kandt spoke, German Interior Minister Thomas De Maiziere said that the detainee was an asylum seeker who was “probably from Pakistan”. Dressed in black and making her first public comments on the attack late Tuesday morning, she called for unity in the country. “This is a very difficult day. “But to cancel them would be wrong,” he said, adding they would hopefully reopen the following day. Germany has taken in more than 890,000 asylum seekers in the past year, a marked difference to other European nations. This month, Merkel called for the ban on Muslim full-face veils, in a concession to the right, anti-immigrant wing of her Christian Democratic Union party. Berlin police have called on the public to remain alert, as confusion swirled over who might have been behind the wheel in the attack. I, like millions of people in Germany, am horrified and deeply sad about what happened yesterday in Berlin.”
Monday’s attack could cause further political upheaval for Merkel, who has come under criticism over her government’s generous acceptance of refugees. Ariel Zurawski, owner of the truck company, told CNN affiliate TVN 24 the vehicle may have been hijacked, as his cousin — the truck’s regular driver — couldn’t have been behind the wheel. Asylum seeker detained
De Maiziere told a press conference earlier that the man in custody had entered Germany on December 31, 2015, and sought asylum in Germany, but that his application had not been completed. Berlin police said that the truck, owned by a Polish company, “was steered deliberately into the crowd.” It was carrying 25 tons of steel at the time, the vehicle’s owner said. Terror groups including ISIS and a branch of Al Qaeda have encouraged their followers to use vehicles to stage attacks.
